The 100% owned 175 km² Wollaston Copper project was staked by Transition to cover a cluster of copper showings similar to the advanced exploration stage Janice Lake copper project.
Janice Lake Project was optioned by Transition to Forum Energy Metals in 2018 who have since partnered with Rio Tinto who have established a 110 km winter haul road and a 50 person camp with $7 million projected to be spent over the summer 2020 and winter 2021 programs.
Wollaston Supergroup is a >800km long sedimentary belt analogous in size to the African Copper belt, and similar in age to rocks hosting the supergiant Udokan and Dongchuan copper deposits.
The Wollaston Copper project covers >50 km strike of favourable geology starting 40 km southwest along trend from Janice Lake.
Only one of the historical copper showings on the Wollaston Copper property has been drilled, intersecting similar grades and thicknesses of copper to that observed at Janice.
Wollaston Copper also covers the Fable Lake Zinc showing which historical work has proposed may be Broken Hill style mineralization.
