Scott McLean, HBSc., P.Geo. – President and Chief Executive Officer

Scott has over 30 years of experience including 23 years with Falconbridge Limited / Xstrata Nickel in exploration and management resulting in the discovery of various mineral deposits including the 17 million tonne Nickel Rim South deposit in Sudbury, Ontario. For his role in this discovery, he was named the Prospector of the Year in 2004 by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. He was also appointed to the transitional board of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and has represented the profession as President.

Carmelo Marrelli – Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Marrelli is the principal of The Marrelli Group of Companies. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA, CGA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, a professional body that certifies corporate secretaries. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto. Mr. Marrelli acts as the chief financial officer to a number of issuers on the TSX, TSX Venture Exchange, and CSE, as well as non-listed companies, and as a director of select issuers.

Greg Collins, BScE., P.Geo., Chief Operating Officer

Greg is a geological engineer with over 20 years of experience in gold and base metals exploration, project generation, resource estimation, mine planning and operations, and management. He's worked in Canada, Vietnam, Scandinavia and Turkey. Greg spent 11 years with Falconbridge Limited and was VP Exploration for Crowflight Minerals where he was responsible for exploration activities in Manitoba and Ontario, and for managing the geology and mineral resources at the Bucko Mine.

 

Technical

Tom Hart, MSc., P.Geo.

Tom is an award-winning geologist with over 30 years experience leading and conducting private and public sector exploration and mapping programs for Inco, the Ontario Geological Survey, and several junior resource companies. He was a co-recipient of the Northwestern Ontario Prospectors Association 2004 Discovery of the Year Award.  Tom is a specialist in lode gold and base metals systems with soil, till and rock analytical expertise who has worked extensively both on surface and underground.

Grant Mourre, MSc., P.Geo.

Grant has more than 15 years of experience, including six years with Xstrata Nickel exploring within the Sudbury Mining Camp. Through his work and research, Grant has developed in-depth knowledge of the geology and mineralization of the Sudbury Igneous Complex. He also has led compilation, mapping, geophysics and drilling programs related to the search for PGEs in the mid-continental rift region, north of Lake Superior, and base and precious metals project generation activities in Nunavut.

Benjamin Williams, P.Geo

Ben has been with the company in various capacities since 2018. He obtained a BSc with Honours in Geology from Saint Marys University, Halifax, followed by Graduate work at Carleton University in Ottawa, where his work focused on igneous petrology and isotope geochemistry. Prior to joining Transition Metals, Mr. Williams worked in collaboration with Carleton University’s Department of Earth Sciences and the Northwest Territories Geological Survey, as a Senior Mapping and Research Assistant, where he conducted various value-added mapping and isotopic research programmes on multiple Neoarchean volcanic belts within the Slave Craton with a focus on VMS-style mineralization.

Sarah Reese, BASc

Sarah recently began her career at Transition Metals, acting as Field Geologist. She received a B.A.Sc. in Geological Engineering from Queen’s University. Sarah’s experience includes working as a Geological Field Assistant for Transition Metals in 2021, a Course Design & Development Specialist within the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Queen’s University in 2020, and as a Field Assistant for the Ontario Geological Survey in 2019. Sarah actively continues her geological education through numerous outreach programs, short courses, and national and international geological field trips.
