SCOTT MCLEAN, P.GEO.

PRESIDENT & CEO, COFOUNDER

Scott has over 30 years of experience in exploration and management, including 23 years with Falconbridge Limited. His work resulted in the discovery of the over 15 million tonnes Nickel Rim South deposit in Sudbury, Ontario. For his role in this discovery, he was named the Prospector of the Year in 2004 by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. As CEO, Mr. McLean is responsible for establishing the business and administrative framework for corporate management and developing corporate vision. He is the liaison for corporate communication between management, the Board, investors, and the public. He manages capital structure and financing of the Corporation and ensures the Corporation maintains high standards of ethics, corporate citizenship and social responsibility. He is also an Executive Director of SPC Nickel Corp. and President of McLean Exploration Management Inc.

GREG COLLINS, P.GEO.

COO, COFOUNDER

Greg is a professional Geologist with over 25 years of experience in gold and base metals exploration, project generation, resource estimation, mine planning and operations, and management. He's worked in extensively Canada, as well as Vietnam, Scandinavia and Turkey. Greg is a founding partner and COO of Transition Metals Corp, a leading Prospect Generator as well as the CEO of Canadian Gold Miner Corp., a private gold exploration company. 

CARMELO MARRELLI, CPA.

CFO

Mr. Marrelli is the principal of The Marrelli Group of Companies. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant, and a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, a professional body that certifies corporate secretaries. He acts as the chief financial officer to a number of issuers on the TSX, TSX Venture Exchange, and CSE, as well as non-listed companies, and as a director of select issuers. Mr. Marrelli holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.

BILL STORMONT, MBA.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Bill is a capital markets executive who has worked within a number of capacities including institutional equity buy and sell side roles, an equity analyst and institutional equity salesperson with ABN Amro Bank NV, as a European equity fund manager with Henderson Global Investors (now Janus Henderson) in London, UK, and as investor relations roles in Canada. He is a director of QXMC, the Klahoose First Nation’s economic development arm, and has worked with indigenous groups to cultivate stakeholder relationships. Mr. Stormont holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia.

TECHNICAL

TOM HART, P.GEO.

CHIEF GEOLOGIST

Tom is an award-winning geologist with over 40 years experience leading and conducting exploration and mapping programs for Inco, Ontario Geological Survey, and several junior resource companies. Tom is a specialist in lode gold and base metals systems with soil, till and rock analytical expertise and has worked extensively both on surface and underground. In addition, Tom was a co-recipient of the Northwestern Ontario Prospectors Association’s Discovery of the Year Award in 2004.

BENJAMIN WILLIAMS, P.GEO.

SENIOR GEOLOGIST

Ben has 10+ years of geology experience, and has been with the company in various capacities since 2018. He obtained a BSc with Honours in Geology from Saint Mary;s University, Halifax, followed by Graduate work at Carleton University in Ottawa, where his work focused on igneous petrology and isotope geochemistry. Prior to joining Transition Metals, Mr. Williams worked in collaboration with the Northwest Territories Geological Survey, as a Senior Mapping and Research Assistant, where he conducted various value-added mapping and isotopic research programs on Neoarchean volcanic belts within the Slave Craton, with a focus on VMS-style mineralization.

PROJECT GEOLOGIST

Sarah is a relatively recent addition to Transition Metals' Technical team. She holds B.A.Sc. in Geological Engineering from Queen’s University. Sarah actively continues her geological education through numerous outreach programs, short courses, and national and international geological field trips.

THOMAS ATKINS, MBA.

DIRECTOR

Mr. Atkins is an accomplished mining executive who has successfully led exploration and development initiatives in the Americas over the past 30 years. He has a background in geology, investment banking, investor relations, and corporate management. He has also served as a senior executive with small to large capitalization international mining companies with responsibility for the planning, execution, and communication of short and long-term corporate objectives and initiatives.

BRIAN MONTGOMERY, LL.B

DIRECTOR

Mr. Montgomery is a lawyer who is currently practicing Business, Corporate and Mining law, as Counsel, in the Sudbury law firm of Moutsatsos, Laakso, Alexander LLP (MLA Law). He formerly practiced law, with an emphasis in Corporate and Business law including mining law, as a senior partner with the firm of Weaver, Simmons LLP in Sudbury from March 1973 to 2016. Mr. Montgomery is recognized for his expertise in all aspects of Mining, Corporate and Business law. In addition of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, he also sits on the Board of Directors of SPC Nickel Corp. Mr. Montgomery previously sat on the Board of Governors of Laurentian University and the Board of Directors of the Health Sciences North Research Institute.

JASON MARKS, P.ENG., MBA.

DIRECTOR

Mr. Marks is currently Deputy Chairman of Collecdev Markee where he oversees the real estate development activities of the partnership. Previously he was the Managing Partner of Outcome Metric Asset Management Limited Partnership, where he oversaw firm and individual portfolios, including overall allocation strategy and risk management. Prior to that, he was the Executive Chairman of Fiera Quantum Limited, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of GMP Investment Management, Vice Chair at TD Securities responsible for a number of trading and derivatives products, a Senior Vice President at TD Bank where he held senior risk management roles, and Vice President of Citibank Canada. Mr. Marks holds a M.B.A. from Harvard University and a B.E.Sc. from the University of Western Ontario.

JORDAN BLACK, P.ENG.

DIRECTOR

Mr. Black is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Ramp Metals Inc. He has formerly held various positions including Senior Geotechnical Engineer at WSP Canada Inc., Vice President of Business Development at GoldSpot Discoveries Inc., and the Vice President of Investments at ThreeD Capital Inc.. At ThreeD Capital he provided investment strategies for management, helped structure private placements, and raise capital for small to medium size companies. GoldSpot was one of ThreeD Capitals main investments and Jordan joined GoldSpot shortly after it became public. He is a Professional Engineer, with over 12 years’ experience as a consulting engineer.


ASHLEY KIRWAN, ICD.D, P.GEO.

DIRECTOR

Ashley Kirwan is a professional geologist with over 15 years’ experience in the mining industry. She was part of the advancement of exploration and production assets within the Sudbury Basin (KGHM Mining formally QuadraFNX Mining), Nunavut, Nevada, and Ecuador. Ashley is also the co-founder, President & CEO of Orix Geoscience, an award-winning geological consulting firm recognized for their technical excellence, industry partnerships, and workplace culture. She sits on a variety of junior exploration boards, female owned start-ups, and community committees, bringing her technical, strategic planning, and governance expertise. Ashley was selected as a Top 40 Under 40 Sudbury Chamber of Commerce (2019), awarded YWCA Women of Distinction Award (2020) and The Eira Thomas Young Mining Professional award (2020). She earned a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Geology at Laurentian University and is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
